Dallas Stars Tournaments invites you to join us in BIG D for our annual Spring Breakaway! Our premier Spring League half-ice tournament will once again take place over Easter Weekend, April 18-20, 2025, at D/FW area Children's Health StarCenters and as always, promises to offer a competitive weekend of hockey in a Spring League format on half-ice sheets for teams from across the U.S.! The tournament will host 8U-12U HOUSE/REC SPRING LEAGUE teams and 10U-12U TRAVEL/SELECT teams. NOTE: Youth House/Rec and Youth Travel/Select Levels are OPEN; However, Youth Travel/Select teams will not play Youth House/Rec teams. Final Divisions/Levels will be determined once registration is closed. ALL teams/games will be played as a spring league format on a half-ice sheet (SEE BELOW). **YOUTH TEAMS/PLAYERS MUST PLAY IN THE DIVISION/AGE CLASSIFICATION THEY PLAYED DURING THE 2024-25 FALL SEASON** **NO FREE AGENT OR INDIVIDUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE FOR YOUTH HOUSE/REC LEAGUE OR YOUTH TRAVEL/SELECT LEAGUE DIVISIONS*

*Each division may play one or more games at a primary rink, a secondary rink or a combination of rinks.
*Additional rinks may be added or listed rinks removed/changed as needed.

* Minimum Roster – 7 (6 skaters + goalie) - Approval required if less than minimum
*Open Division Levels; Subdivisions may be created in each division based on Divisions/Levels & number of teams registered.
*Teams may be comprised of players & coaches on their Official USA Hockey House/Rec League Spring League Roster. For this tournament ONLY, combining of teams or requests to combine teams is permitted, and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
*Tournament Divisions/Participating Teams are released on HockeyShift approx. 7-10 days prior to the start of the tournament, if not sooner.
*Tournament Online Roster & Team Information Form Submission will begin soon after registration closes. All participating teams will be notified once Roster submission begins.

TRAVEL | SELECT
• 10U | 12U - Travel/Select League Teams

GAME FORMAT
• 8U HOUSE/REC - Games will be half-ice games, 4-on-4 plus goalie; Two (2), 21-minute halves; 1.5-minute shifts
• 10U HOUSE/REC - Games will be half-ice, 4-on-4 plus goalie; Two (2), 25-minute run-time halves
• 12U HOUSE/REC - Games will be half-ice, 3-on-3 plus goalie; Two (2), 25-minute run-time halves
• 10U TRAVEL/SELECT - Games will be half-ice, 4-on-4 plus goalie; Two (2), 25-minute run-time halves
• 12U TRAVEL/SELECT - Games will be half-ice, 3-on-3 plus goalie; Two (2), 25-minute run-time halves
SCHEDULE STRUCTURE
4 GAME MINIMUM
Each team will play a minimum of four (4) games throughout the tournament event:
• Friday | 1 or More Games Possible [Morning / Afternoon / Evening]
• Saturday | 1 or More Games Possible [Morning / Afternoon / Evening]
• Sunday | 1 or More Games Possible [Morning / Afternoon]
*Teams should expect to play starting early on Friday.
*Semi-Final Rounds for all divisions are NOT Guaranteed.
*Championship or Consolation Games (if played) may result in a 2nd game for some teams on Sunday.
*Final games are expected be complete by 5 o’clock PM (CT) on Sunday for all teams. **PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY**
*Game Schedules will be released on HockeyShift (our online Stats & Standings program) approximately 5-7 days prior to the start of the tournament, if not sooner. Tournament Game Schedule(s) is considered FINAL once released/live on HockeyShift.
PRICING
YOUTH HOUSE/REC LEAGUE
• 8U HOUSE/REC | TEAM ENTRY FEE: $1,295
• 10U | 12U HOUSE/REC & TRAVEL/SELECT | TEAM ENTRY FEE: $1,395
*$500 deposit due at the time of registration acceptance with the final amount due by the Registration Deadline.
*Acceptance into the tournament is automatic upon completion of registration, unless otherwise noted.
