OVERVIEW
Our Capitol City Classic will take place November 23-25, 2024 at The Pond Hockey Club in Austin, TX and hosts local and regional 8U - 14U House/Rec teams & players in a unique, fun and competitive tournament environment featuring games on The Barn (Full-Ice Sheet) and The Pond (Reduced-Sheet/Indoor Pond). As always, this start-of-Thanksgiving break event promises to be a fantastic experience for all involved! Enjoy fun tournament play and added benefits only found at Dallas Stars Tournaments events! **HOUSE/REC LEAGUE, NON-TRAVEL/SELECT TEAMS ONLY. SPOTS ARE LIMITED & REGISTRATION ACCEPTANCE IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS**
*8U games on the BARN (full-ice sheet) will be played cross-ice 4-on-4 with blue pucks and mini-nets.
*8U games on the POND (reduced sheet/indoor pond) will be played full-ice 5-on-5 with blue pucks and mini-nets. SHIFT CHANGES ARE ON THE FLY. THERE IS NO BUZZER.
*10U-12U games on the BARN (full-ice sheet) will be played full-ice 5-on-5.
*10U-12U games on the POND (reduced sheet/indoor pond) will be played full-ice 4-on-4.
*14U games on the BARN (full-ice sheet) will be played full-ice 5-on-5.
*14U games on the POND (reduced sheet/indoor pond) will be played full-ice 3-on-3.
All Dallas Stars Tournaments are Stay2Play events. A minimum stay is required. Stay2Play hotel accommodations are made available for booking as soon as practicable, typically 30-45 days prior to registration closure, if not sooner. All visiting teams and/or event participants are required to adhere to the Stay2Play Guidelines and secure hotel accommodations for the duration of the event only at hotel properties and rates listed on the Stay2Play booking portal to participate in the event. No other booking sites, discounts, points awards, special rates or programs, regardless of how obtained, will be accepted.

*Subdivisions/Levels may be created based on Divisions/Levels & number of teams registered.
*Tournament Divisions/Participating Teams are released on HockeyShift approx. 7-10 days prior to the start of the tournament, if not sooner.
*Tournament Online Roster & Team Information Form Submission will begin soon after registration closes. All participating teams will be notified once Roster submission begins.

SCHEDULE STRUCTURE
4 GAME MINIMUM
Each team will play a minimum of four (4) games throughout the tournament event:
• Friday | Arrive/Available in Austin (ALL TEAMS)
• Saturday | 1 or More Games Possible [Morning / Afternoon / Evening]
• Sunday | 1 or More Games Possible [Morning / Afternoon / Evening]
• Monday | 1 or More Games Possible [Morning / Afternoon]
*Teams should expect to play starting early on Saturday.

*Semi-Final Rounds for all divisions are NOT Guaranteed.
*Championship or Consolation Games (if played) may result in a 2nd game for some teams on Monday.
*Final games are expected be complete by 5 o’clock PM (CT) on Monday for all teams. **PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY**
*Game Schedules will be released on HockeyShift (our online Stats & Standings program) approximately 5-7 days prior to the start of the tournament, if not sooner.
PRICING
• ALL AGE GROUPS & DIVISIONS | TEAM ENTRY FEE: $1,795
*$500 deposit due at the time of registration acceptance with the final amount due by the Registration Deadline.
*Acceptance into the tournament is automatic upon completion of registration, unless otherwise noted.
